The company behind Amra.
Amra Tech Global Ltd is a Ghanaian, female-founded technology company based in Accra. Its first and flagship product is Amra — a reproductive and mental health companion for women, built physician-led and privacy-first.
What we are building
Amra holds a woman's reproductive and mental health together in one place, helps her understand what she is experiencing, recognise what deserves attention, and reach real care when she needs it. It does not diagnose, prescribe, or act as an emergency service. It says so plainly, and it never pretends an estimate is a fact.
The app is in development and is not yet available to the public. We are finishing the build now and will open it first to a small group of women in Ghana who test it with us, then as a private beta, and its health features will be switched on only once the clinical, legal and data-protection work behind them is complete. How we govern what we build
Amra is physician-led: its clinical direction is set by a licensed doctor, and clinical content is reviewed before it reaches anyone. Features that touch mental health require sign-off from a second, mental-health-trained clinical reviewer before they reach real users. Every capability that handles health information sits behind a server-side control that stays off until its readiness conditions are met and evidenced.
Amra is privacy-first: it collects the minimum information a feature needs, asks separately for each kind of permission, explains why before it asks, and gives the user the ability to view, edit and delete what she has shared. We will never sell health information. Amra is built to Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) from the start, and our registration with the Data Protection Commission is in progress.
Who we are
A licensed physician who has practised across internal medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology, psychiatry and surgery. She leads Amra's clinical direction and its build.
Amra's technical co-founder. She holds a Master's in Computer Science and works in West African fintech, and owns Amra's technical direction, engineering standards and release decisions.
Beyond Amra
Amra Tech Global was founded with a wider belief — that technology built in Africa, by people who understand the context, can solve real problems in health and beyond. Amra is where that starts. We are a small company finding our feet, and we would rather do one thing well than describe many things we have not done yet.
