A reproductive and mental health companion for women — cycle and symptom tracking, mental wellbeing check-ins, and clear, clinician-reviewed information, in one place. It helps a woman understand what she is experiencing and recognise what is worth mentioning to a doctor. It is not a tracker with a chatbot bolted on; body and mind are held together on purpose.

No. Amra does not diagnose, prescribe, or treat, and it is not an emergency service. It helps you notice patterns and gives you honest, evidence-based information — and when something deserves attention, it points you towards real care rather than pretending to be it.

We are finishing the build now. Amra will open first to a small group of women in Ghana who test it with us, then as a private beta, so we can learn from real use before opening it wider. If you join the tester list we will tell you when your turn comes — and nothing else.

Join the tester list on the home page. The first group is women aged 18 and over in Ghana. It is free, and stays free for early testers. You use the app for a few weeks and tell us plainly what is confusing, missing or wrong. You can leave at any time and take your data with you.

We have not set pricing yet, and we will not pretend to. The private beta will be free for the women taking part.

Amra collects the minimum a feature needs, asks separately for each kind of permission and explains why before asking, and lets you view, edit and delete what you have shared. We will never sell your health information. Data is stored with a managed cloud provider in a region chosen after a privacy review; the full Privacy Notice for the app will be published before anyone uses it, and our current website notice covers this site only. Amra is built to Ghana's Data Protection Act from the start, and our registration with the Data Protection Commission is in progress.

Amra is being designed to use as little data as possible — small screens, no video, no large downloads. In the first version, logging an entry needs a connection; the app will tell you clearly when you are offline rather than pretending something was saved when it was not. Verified help and emergency information will be available offline.

That is the intention — Amra's "Speak to professionals" feature is planned but not built yet, and it will only be switched on once the clinicians and the legal arrangements behind it are in place. Until then Amra will point you to existing services rather than promise its own.

Yes — Amra treats pregnancy and the postnatal period as part of a woman's story, not a separate app. Deeper pregnancy-specific features are planned for later; the first version keeps it simple and honest.
